On escaping the city in the summertime
We usually take a big trip back to Denmark to visit our families over the summer. I love taking my kids to all the places that meant so much to me growing up in Europe. I have all these little things that were so special to me as a kid, like Swedish ice cream, that I get to share with them. Being back home always feels really great and energizing. It’s a nice getaway that makes me appreciate how far we’ve come.

Staying balanced over the holidays
If I am on vacation with my family, I try to use that as my opportunity to recharge. I don’t want to be on my phone as much and I try to block out a little time each day to work so I can spend the rest of the day focused on enjoying whatever we are doing. We don’t get away from the office that often so I really try to take advantage of that time.

Her favorite holiday memory
My favorite memories are from all the vacations we took to visit my grandmother in Brazil. She’s from there so we would always have big family gatherings and play outside in her garden. Those memories are so special to me and my grandmother is still my biggest style icon to this day.

Summer beauty products she can’t live without
Summers for me are usually pretty busy and spent traveling so sheet masks are one of my favorite quick ways to refresh my skin after flying or a long day.  The La Mer Sheet Masks are some of my all-time favorites. I also always carry a Clé de Peau Concealer with me in my bag. It’s perfect for touch-ups throughout the day.

Holiday packing essentials
I try to pack as little as possible. I rely on layers that I can mix and match. Especially when I’m traveling I stick to my uniform, usually jean shorts or jeans and a tee with a leather jacket and boots. I’ll pack a dress or two for hotter days but I always have my basics with me.

Top travel tips
My biggest thing is to dress comfy yet stylish. I always feel better when I wear a good outfit traveling. I love bringing something cozy, like a cashmere knit to keep me warm on the flight. Most flights blast the AC and I get really cold. I also make sure to drink lots of water and bring snacks.  I’m not a fan of airplane food so I always bring my own.

On her ultimate summer playlist
I listen to The Cranberries year round, they are my favorite band of all time and I always put them on in the mornings on my way to work. For Summer I love lighter, more upbeat songs I can dance to.

Favorite holiday reads
I don’t have a ton of extra time to read so usually it’s books for my kids. We’ve been slowly making our way through all the Harry Potter Books which has been so fun. I love how excited the kids get and how it inspires their imaginations.

Weekly wellness rituals
I love lighting our Savage Rose candle and taking a bath before bed. Our bathroom really feels like my sanctuary. It’s my space to unwind and regroup. Sometimes I’ll do an under eye mask or a sheet mask just to refresh my skin.

Her philosophy on living well
It’s all about prioritizing and making time for the things that really matter or make you feel renewed. I really am a homebody and love spending most of my time outside of work at home with my family and playing with my kids. I try to do little things for myself here or there and I believe getting outside is so important whether it’s for a quick hike or chasing after my kids. Mostly though, I think living well is about finding what you love and what is important to you and spending your time on that.

Words she lives by
My personal motto is “Be true, be you” I have it tattooed on my arm and it’s a phrase I’ve used in some of my designs. You can’t go wrong if you stay authentic to who you are and what you believe.
